Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information CalcNova ("we", "our", or "the site") collects, how it is used, and your rights as a user. By using CalcNova, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
The short version: we collect almost nothing. All calculator functions run entirely in your browser. No calculation input or result is ever sent to our servers.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
CalcNova does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
- Your name, email address, phone number or any personal identifiers
- Any values you enter into any calculator (weight, salary, marks, dates, etc.)
- Calculator results or outputs
- Device identifiers, IP addresses for tracking purposes
- Browsing history or cross-site tracking data
2. How Our Calculators Work
All calculations performed on CalcNova — including BMI, loan EMI, CGPA, age, percentage, gold price, Zakat, speed, petrol cost, unit conversion, and currency conversions — execute entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. No data from any input field is ever transmitted to CalcNova servers at any point during or after calculation. Your calculations are completely private and remain only on your own device. Closing or refreshing the browser tab instantly erases all input values — nothing is saved locally either.
3. Information We May Collect
When you visit CalcNova, our web hosting provider (Cloudflare) may automatically log standard server access data including:
- Your IP address (used for security and DDoS protection, not for user tracking)
- Browser type and version
- The page you requested and the time of the request
- HTTP status code of the response
- Referring URL (the page you came from)
This data is collected by Cloudflare under their own privacy policy and is used for infrastructure security and performance purposes. CalcNova does not access or use this data for user identification, profiling, or advertising targeting of any kind.
4. Contact Form Data
If you submit a message through our Contact page, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not share contact form submissions with third parties, we do not add your email to any marketing list, and we retain submissions only as long as necessary to resolve your query (typically no longer than 12 months). You may request deletion of your submission at any time by contacting us.
5. Cookies
CalcNova does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, preference cookies, or analytics cookies of any kind. We do not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, or any other third-party tracking or analytics service. The only cookies that may be present are purely functional security cookies set by Cloudflare (e.g. for bot protection on the contact form), which expire when you close your browser and contain no personal information.
6. Third-Party Services
CalcNova uses the following third-party services, each operating under their own privacy policies:
- Cloudflare Pages & CDN — Web hosting, global content delivery, automatic SSL, and DDoS protection. Cloudflare may log request metadata for security purposes. See Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts — Typography service. Loading fonts from Google's servers may log your IP address per Google's standard logging practices. See Google Privacy Policy. No font data is personalised or used for advertising.
We do not use any advertising networks, affiliate tracking systems, social media tracking pixels, customer data platforms, or retargeting services on CalcNova. There are zero advertisements on any CalcNova page.
7. Children's Privacy
CalcNova is a general-purpose calculator website suitable for all ages. It is frequently used by school and university students in Pakistan for academic calculations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted personal information through our contact form, please contact us and we will promptly delete it. Since our calculators collect no data, there is no calculation data associated with any user of any age.
8. Data Security
Since CalcNova does not collect or store personal calculation data, there is minimal data security risk on our end. The only personal data we hold is contact form submissions, which are handled with standard security practices and accessible only to CalcNova team members who need to respond to your inquiry. Our entire site is served exclusively over HTTPS with Cloudflare's security layer active, protecting all data in transit between your browser and our servers from interception or tampering.
9. Your Rights
As a user, you have the following rights regarding any personal data CalcNova may hold about you:
- Right to access: You may request a copy of any personal data we hold about you (practically, this means contact form submissions only).
- Right to deletion: You may request deletion of your contact form submission at any time.
- Right to correction: If your contact information in a submission is incorrect, you may request we update it.
- Right to object: You may object to any processing of your personal data.

10. Links to Other Websites
CalcNova pages may contain links to external websites for reference purposes — such as OGRA for petrol prices, SBP for banking rates, WHO for health standards, or HEC Pakistan for academic grading scales. These links are provided for your convenience and reference. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external sites. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any external website you visit via a link from CalcNova.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted in the page meta description. Continued use of CalcNova after any policy update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
