Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information CalcNova ("we", "our", or "the site") collects, how it is used, and your rights as a user. By using CalcNova, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
The short version: we collect almost nothing. All calculator functions run entirely in your browser. No calculation input or result is ever sent to our servers.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
CalcNova does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
- Your name, email address, phone number or any personal identifiers
- Any values you enter into any calculator (weight, salary, marks, dates, etc.)
- Calculator results or outputs
- Device identifiers, IP addresses for tracking purposes
- Browsing history or cross-site tracking data
2. How Our Calculators Work
All calculations performed on CalcNova — including BMI, loan EMI, CGPA, age, percentage, and gold price calculations — execute entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. No data from any input field is transmitted to CalcNova servers at any point. Your calculations are completely private and remain only on your own device.
3. Information We May Collect
When you visit CalcNova, our web hosting provider (Cloudflare) may automatically log standard server access data including:
- Your IP address (used for security and DDoS protection, not for user tracking)
- Browser type and version
- The page you requested and the time of the request
- HTTP status code of the response
This data is collected by Cloudflare under their own privacy policy and is used for infrastructure security and performance purposes. CalcNova does not access or use this data for user identification or advertising.
4. Contact Form Data
If you submit a message through our Contact page, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not share contact form submissions with third parties, and we retain them only as long as necessary to resolve your query (typically no longer than 12 months).
5. Cookies
CalcNova does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party tracking service. The only cookies that may be set are functional session cookies by Cloudflare for security purposes (e.g. CAPTCHA verification on the contact form), which are automatically deleted when you close your browser.
6. Third-Party Services
CalcNova uses the following third-party services, each operating under their own privacy policies:
- Cloudflare — Web hosting, CDN, and DDoS protection. Cloudflare may log request metadata for security. See Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts — Typography service. Loading fonts from Google's servers may log your IP address. See Google Privacy Policy.
We do not use any advertising networks, affiliate tracking, social media tracking, or analytics platforms on CalcNova.
7. Children's Privacy
CalcNova is a general-purpose calculator website not specifically directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our contact form, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
8. Data Security
Since CalcNova does not collect or store personal calculation data, there is minimal data security risk from our end. Contact form submissions are handled with standard security practices. Our site is served exclusively over HTTPS with Cloudflare's security layer, protecting all data transmitted between your browser and our servers from interception.
9. Your Rights
If you have submitted a contact form message and wish to request deletion of that information, you may contact us and we will remove it promptly. Since we do not collect calculation data, there is no other personal data to access, correct, or delete.
10. Links to Other Websites
CalcNova pages may occasionally contain links to external websites for reference purposes (such as official government or health organisation sources). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any external site you visit.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of CalcNova after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
